NHP

Located a stone's throw from the historic intersection of Halsted & Maxwell Streets, B.J. Wright Court Apartments can be found at 14th and Morgan.

Affectionately called "NHP", short for "New Homes Place", the apartments were named for Barbara Jean Wright, a neighborhood resident and activist known for her campaign in support of low-rise and livable affordable housing. The courage of Barbara Jean Wright laid the foundation for the apartments that would later bear her name. In 1999 the apartments were renovated extensively, which for the residents meant a place for new hope and new homes. NHP is the legacy of Barbara Jean Wright - a place of community and promise.
